Trading
Updated 28 September 2026, 4 min readThe History tab is the record of your account: every closed trade, every deposit, withdrawal and credit your Broker has booked, and every pending order that was cancelled. You can narrow it to a period, open any trade for its full breakdown, and on the web, export the period as a CSV file for a spreadsheet or your own records.
Choosing the period
Open the History tab under the chart. The buttons above the table set the period:
- All shows everything on the account.
- Today starts at midnight on your device's clock.
- Week is the last seven days and Month the last 30, counted back from now.
- Custom opens two dates. Pick the first and last day and press Apply. Both days are included in full.
The iPhone and Android apps have the same five choices on their History screen.
The totals line
Above the table, one line sums up the period: your current Balance, then Deposits, Withdrawals, the Net P/L of the trades closed in the period, and Deals, the number of those trades. Net P/L counts trading only. Money your Broker added or took away is kept apart in Deposits and Withdrawals, so a deposit never looks like a winning trade.
What the table lists
Everything in the period is in one list, newest first:
- Closed trades, with the same columns as the Trade tab, the close price in place of the current one, and Close Time, Duration and Closed By.
- Cash rows for deposits, withdrawals, credits and corrections, shown in their own colour with the amount in the Profit column.
- Cancelled pending orders, greyed, with Cancelled in Closed By. An order cancelled because the account lacked margin when it triggered reads Cancelled (No Margin).
Closed By tells you how each trade ended: Manual Close, Stop Loss, Take Profit, Stop Out, Robot, Copied Trade or Closed by Broker. When a stop loss or take profit ended the trade, that price is coloured in its column.
The History table has its own Columns button, separate from the Trade tab's. Swap, Commission and Comment are off at first. Add them there. Drag a header edge to resize a column.
Deposits and withdrawals happen with your Broker or prop firm, not in eTrader. History shows them once they are booked to the account.
One trade in full
Click any closed trade. The Trade window opens with the symbol, side, lots and net result on top, then:
- Open Price and Close Price, and the stop loss and take profit the trade carried, with (hit) next to the one that closed it.
- Opened, Closed and Duration.
- Closed By, Opened By when a robot opened it, and the comment.
- Gross Profit, Swap, Commission and Net P/L. Gross is the price move alone. Net is what reached your balance.
Exporting a CSV file
In the web terminal, set the period you want in the History tab, then press Export CSV at the end of the period buttons. The file covers exactly the period on screen and downloads to your browser's usual folder. The phone apps do not export.
The file is a full account statement, in sections:
| Section | What is in it |
|---|---|
| Header | Login, name, Broker, Server, demo or live, currency, leverage, balance, equity, used and free margin, margin level, floating P/L, the period and when the file was made |
| Open Positions | Every open position now, with swap, commission, net P/L, duration, opened by and comment |
| Pending Orders | Every order waiting now |
| Closed Trades | Ticket, prices, times, stop loss, take profit, duration, closed by, opened by, gross profit, swap, commission, net P/L and comment |
| Cash Operations | Deposits, withdrawals and other money movements in the period |
| Cancelled Orders | Pending orders cancelled in the period, with the reason |
| Totals | Trade count, gross profit, swap, commission, net P/L, deposits and withdrawals |
Open Positions and Pending Orders always show the account as it is when you export, whatever period you chose. The period applies to the closed trades, the cash and the cancelled orders.
Times in the file are in UTC, and the header says so. The terminal shows times on your device's clock, so a trade may appear an hour or more apart between the screen and the file. Amounts are plain numbers with two decimals, in the account currency named in the header, ready for a spreadsheet.
